On episode 17 of the show we chat to Yvette Curtis founder of North Devon girls surf club Wave Wahines
Yvette started Wave Wahines 4 years ago after finding there wasn’t anywhere for her teenage daughter to go to learn to surf that wasn’t male dominated and thinking we cant be the only females out there that are interested in this Wave Wahines was born.
After chatting to Yvette and people who know her it clear to see how loved and respected she is by not only the people who know her but the many people she has helped and inspired along the way,
Now a strong and respected member of the surfing community she has not only made a change to surfing for women but also changes in equality and inclusion.
