On this episode of The UK Surf Show we chat to Frazer, Founder and creator of the queer surf club an online community for LGBTQ+ surfers all over the world.
Frazer talks openly about the struggles he has faced as a gay surfer and how his little lockdown idea has exploded into something spectacular.
This LGBTQ+ Organization is gaining momentum very quickly and already has nearly 2000 Instagram followers, not bad for something that Frazer thought may get a few followers.
AS well as this being the finial part of fantastic February where we put out a podcast every week February is LGBTQ+ History month so there is no better time to have the queer surf club on the show.
But it doesn’t affect us, does it?
The History of the LGBTQ+ community is something we should all learn about and we are both continuously shocked by the challenges faced. |
To be Honest , the more we learn, the more we realise that its not just a case of “well, we aren’t prejudice” but a case of the privilege we have as white heterosexual males. |
I mean we don’t have to worry about anything really as white heterosexual male surfers and its just wrong that so many people do just for being themselves. |
